Showe and Associates LLC is the brainchild of its Founder and President, Barry Showe.  Having spent more than 30 years as an Executive and Consultant to the Managed Healthcare Industry specializing in Government Programs, and an intensive 2 year stint as Principal in a Managed Healthcare Executive Recruiting Firm, Barry identified the obvious need to combine all areas of expertise into a one-stop shop to better meet the ever changing  complexities of the Managed Healthcare Industry.  The result is Showe and Associates LLC.

Barry Showe is an acknowledged expert in the development, implementation and operation of Health Insurance Plans, with a focus on the Special Needs of the Older Adult Population.   He has more than 30 years experience as an Executive in the Managed Healthcare Industry.  Barry served as President of one of the largest Government Programs Consulting Practices in the country.  In this capacity he managed a field consulting staff of over 60 professional healthcare consultants and appropriate support staff.  Prior to this, he managed CMS Regulatory Affairs activities for a 1.2 million member publicly traded government program managed care organization.  Barry also functioned as the Senior Executive for Operations at the fastest growing Medicare Advantage Program in the country.
During the earlier years of the Managed Care Movement, Barry directed the development and implementation of a statewide Medicare Choice Program for one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in California.  He also developed and served as Director of the Medicare Choice Program for California's second largest HMO.  Additionally, he held the post of Director of Marketing and Development for one of the four original Social HMO Demonstration Projects in the country.
